''Luperus longicornis'' is a species of ''skeletonizing leaf beetles'' belonging to the family Chrysomelidae, subfamily Galerucinae. It is found in the whole Palearctic ecozone and in the Near East. These beetles are 4-5 mm long. Body is completely bright black, while legs are yellowish. Antennae are very long in male, shorter in the female. The larvae feed on grass roots and pass winter is in the larval stage, as development is completed in the spring.
